After an attendance, the next step depends on whether service was completed, further attempts remain, the plan selected, and the proof document required by the client’s proceeding.
The server records the attendance
The factual record may include date, time, address, outcome, recipient information, access issues, and other relevant observations.
The client receives an update
File & Serve provides client-visible updates and the applicable Service Confirmation / Proof of Service when the assignment or attempts are completed under the selected service.
An affidavit may be requested
When File & Serve completes service and can prepare the affidavit from its own factual record, a commissioned affidavit may be available. The client determines whether and where it must be filed.
Unsuccessful attempts do not prove avoidance
A person not being located on one or more attempts does not by itself prove intentional avoidance. Reports should stay factual and avoid unsupported conclusions.
Further instructions may be required
The client may need to provide a new address, corrected name, additional documents, authorization for another plan, or legal direction from a lawyer or paralegal.
